De kans dat dit lukt is minimaal en wij doen dit dan ook alleen als de harde schijf anders toch weggegooid wordt. Nadat de behuizing van een harde schijf eenmaal open is geweest buiten een clean-room, is de levensduur van de harde schijf over het algemeen erg kort.
